Tuesday evening, 16th June, normally sat on a river bank for the first day of the season, instead, we were hanging on to lengths of rope with rake heads or grapnel hooks tied on the end removing masses of Canadian Pond Weed from our lake at Kingcombe. James, Steve C, Whiskey, Nigel, Chris, Ben, Don...Thank you for your time & hard graft for the couple of hours we were there, Im sure the members will appreciate your efforts removing 4 small mountings of the weed. Another session in the future and we may have a few more volunteers, you never know!!! Read More >>

Welcome!!!! Old, new & returning members. The lock combinations at Heath & Luckfield have been changed. The fish are feeding well at both these lakes. Court barn is producing some excellent bags of Roach & Dace & a few good carp and Bream. Kingcombe is in its ...summer mode..., ie - good fishing. Revels is on top form. Only just over 2 weeks till were back on the rivers, fantastic. See you all out there sometime. Cheers. Read More >>

The postponed Handicap match from March 2009 took place at Heath Lake on Sunday 24th May. Ben Heath smashed the lake match record with a tremendous weight of 139lb and a few ounces...all carp, ranging from 12oz to 6lb. The overall weight that hit the nets on the day was almost 400lb, a great day for most anglers who took part. Big pellet was the bait of the day. Well done Ben. See match report section for a full list of weights. Read More >>

A pleasent early May mid day session proved fruitful for regular member Andrew Foyle and his son Tom, whose birthday is on the glorious 16th June (it always will be glorious). The early part of the session brought a few of the usual 3 - 5lb fish to the net, but as the light changed and a floating bait was put on the hook, the pristine fish in the photo attached (click on it to view bigger image)soon fell for it. It came in at 16lb 6oz, another fantastic wild virgin common from the Heath. There has been some excellent catches down there already this year, reports of 60-70lb plus bags of wild fighting 4-6lb fish. As well as some good skimmers and decent roach. The sun is shining, the fish... Read More >>
