Final 2011 session at Revels - 24th Sept

Article entered 16 October 2011 at 18:18 by Steve Sudworth

Jason of Revels Fishery very kindly closed Dead Tree Lake so the DDAS Junior section could keep the juniors all in one area. It was a mixed bag of juniors and a couple of adults. A couple of the lads are getting very competant in their angling and could probably teach me a few things now. Then we have a couple that need a bit of help, but are getting better all the time.
On this particular session we had a father and son come who had not fished before. Well I don’t know who was the more excited at catching a fish – father or son. Big smiles all round. I am glad to say that everyone caught and some very nice fish came out.
At times it is difficult to keep the interests of the really young ones, espeacially if the are not catching as much as some of the others. We then get the bit where they all want to fish the same peg – this makes life very interesting.

We had six juniors and 2 parents fishing, Dale my son called in for a couple of hours, seems to have rekindled his interest in match fishing – at last.
This was the last Junior session this year other than the Xmas match – again at Revels Fishery.

Thanks to all who turned up.
Tight Lines as they say.
