The Fishing
North bank only - commencing one field upstream of Wool Manor. The field between the old and new road bridges and downstream of the new bridge to the fence line. Access to the upstream section is through the farmyard near the manor. Total length approx 1600 yards
Tips!Use stick float tactics, 2BB to 6BB, depending on the water flow and wind conditions. Otherwise, ledger rigs or maggot feeder.
White/red maggot & sweet corn proven to be the most successful bait for the Grayling. Maggot for the Dace. Try bread flake and punch for the Big Roach.

From the 1st November to the last day of February (Note that the first Sunday in November is always a Match fishing date).
Constraints
- No camping
- Leave gates as found
- Avoid disturbing livestock
- Do not park in the farmyard
- ALL pike caught must be killed
- All game fish caught must be returned alive immediately
- NO spinning permitted
- NO gaffs to be carried to the water
- NO fly fishing
Directions and Location
From Wool village north over level crossing onto A352 for quarter mile. Park on grass verges by the new bridge, or in the Lay-by slightly beyond the main road bridge on the right

Directions and Location
Worgret Hill is on the A352 at about 1/2 a mile before Wareham and 4 miles after Wool. Access is straight off the A352 onto a narrow gravel track. After 400yds the track goes under the railway bridge and joins another track at right angles. Park on the left side of the track (do not obstruct the track), there is room for 4 or 5 cars.
Note:
Great care must be taken when returning onto the A352 because visibility is not good and the traffic is often going fast
