Bullock Farm.
Day 1
I arrived at 9.30 Saturday morning there had been no hold-ups on the drive up. After parking my van, meeting with the lads who traveled Friday I sat back and waited, with a beer! For everybody else to arrive. As people arrived we put up tents sorted fishing gear and got ready for the knock up match.
We fished the Match Lake, 2pm until 6pm. It was a frustrating match for me fishing 12m to a small island, every time I hooked a fish they would dive into the reeds. I smashed 7 rigs that after noon! This was the case for most of the 12 anglers in the match. Nick White on peg 23, fishing 16m to a small island won with 42lbs0oz. Steve Sudworth was second with 41lbs 7oz and I was third with 18lbs 7oz.
After a quick shower we went for the meal in the on site café, then over the fence to the next field were the village fete was on. Several ciders later we retired to the camp site for a bit of maggot racing!
Day 2
Day 2 started early and a little hazy from the night before!!!! So after breakfast it was off to Rushcoombe Lake for our second match. With lots of gold fish, skimmers and carp everybody had a few fish. The winner was Ben Bentley with 60lbs 5oz second was Mick Jackson 43lbs 12oz and third Chris Perry 38lbs 9oz.
I would like to say a big thank you to everybody at Bullock Farm for there help and to everybody who traveled. It would be nice to see a few more faces next year! Watch for the details on the web site.
Whisky, you would not have liked it, the cider was horrible!!!!!!!! Made your head hurt.
