Chairmans Cup, Heath Lake, 27th June 2010

Match Report entered 30 June 2010 at 08:52 by Steve Sudworth

Last Sunday’s Dorchester & District Angling Society match at Heath Lake was brought forward to allow matchmen to get home in time to watch the England v Germany match (ah well!!), the earlier start provided good sport for the majority of the 17 anglers on the 18 peg venue for the first couple of hours. Ben Heath on peg 18 had a good carp in the net before most of the other anglers had even started. Club Sec’ Steve Sudworth drew peg 2 for the 3rd time on the run, once he had baited up his peg for the first 10 minutes, it was then a fish a chuck on the method for 2 hours, then the odd fish for the other 3 hours for a total winning weight of 80 lb. Ben managed to weigh in 59 lb 4oz for 2nd place with Steve ‘bothered’ Roberts in 3rd with 37lbs 12oz. The next club match is the annual ‘2 days away’ at Bullock Farm Fishery, Kingston Seymour in North Somerset on the 1011th July, camping, fishing, social.
Dont worry Whisky I have got you booked-in................For next year.
