New Lake car park done..lake opened 21st March

News Item entered 08 March 2010 at 13:06 by Steve Sudworth

The car parking area at our new UPPER lake at Alton Pancras has been laid.
Sincere thanks must go to Terry ..Gladwish Construction..Ltd for all his hard work on the digger and manual brute force, see attached photos & thanks also to DON, JIM & MALCOLM who gave up their valuable time to help out. I would also like to thank Travis Perkins, Weymouth who supplied the materials & digger at very short notice.

We can now open this lake to our general membership from sunrise on SUNDAY 21st March.
Please see the addition on the...WHERE CAN I FISH section for directions and constraints at this and the LOWER lake which is NOT YET open. The LOWER lake will be open in a few weeks time, once the work required has been completed...working party volunteers required for sunday 28th March, please contact me for more details...the more the merrier.
Get on up there and enjoy it, small but very pleasant & some nice fish to be had.
The parking area is only big enough for 4 cars, please do not park on the grass verge if it is full, either wait until a space is available or pop up to Revels & have a session there, or go over and visit the other lake, not a problem....its just not open to members just yet...worth a look though.

The other photos show a nice view of the lake & Members sec Mick Brown with a nice 10lb common during a trial session.

PLEASE TREAT IT WITH RESPECT...ITS VERY NICE...LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY.
LITTER...HOME...THANK YOU.
