Match report - 4th June
14 June 2023

Club Match Report:
Sunday 4th June,
Whitemoor Lakes, Nr Wimbourne.
1st Leg of the Aldermaston Trophy.
A hot, bright day on the 20 peg Canal lake, 17 members fished it including the very young Jack Copp who had the largest carp of the day at 12lb (nearly as big as him).
The lake has lots of small carp in it plus some good bream & tench.  Small carp dominated the day for most, although Mick Brown had 23lb 6oz of bream & skimmers to take the silverfish pool.
The overall results were very good for a hot day, with 12th place still weighing in over 40lb.
Winner on the day:
Steve Sid Sudworth with 94lb 3oz (a total of 44 carp, all caught on xxxx πŸ˜‰πŸ€£) at 3mtrs out, peg 20 (a flyer, some would say).
Runner Up:
Julie Samways -  A superb performance from an unfancied peg (14), 84lb 6oz and she hasn’t fished for ages!!!
3rd place(s):
With an equal weight of 76lb 2oz, Richard Butler & Alan Winsper.. shared their wares.. they usually do anyway so nowt changed there. I bet they used xxxx as well.
Next match is the 1st of the evening series at Revels Fishery & Tackle Shop on Friday 9th.. still a couple of spaces left on this, a very pleasant 4 match series in the evening sunshine (we hope).
Well done Glenn Richards for your organisation as Match sec πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ.
