'‘Lysander & Lucy’s stocking programme’

The DDAS committee are pleased to announce that the planned stocking of new fish into our lakes at Silverlake continues:
This week; 6 x 10lb to 13lb healthy, good strain carp were released into Lucy’s Pool & 320lb of 3lb to 8lb mirror/common carp were stocked in Lysander as well as a selection of very tiny ghost carp.
We also had an order of roach & skimmer bream planned for Lysander but this unfortunately fell through.. it will definitely happen soon (just not sure when exactly).

This stocking has been very carefully managed to ensure that we have the right balance of fish species for the size and depth of both lakes, we can assure you that we are still a ‘fair’ % below a sensible stock level & will continue to monitor it closely.
We aim to erect a signing in/out log there (as we have at Luckfield) in the coming months, this will help enormously in monitoring the stock. We will send a more detailed ‘Clubmate’ email to all members in due course.

The lake(s) levels are high at the moment, if you do fancy a session down there, please fish directly above where you see a platform (underwater 🥴). It won’t be long before the platforms are above water again.
Thanks for reading!!
Enjoy
